Re-design

During my time at the 1819 Innovation Hub I was tasked with redesigning the UC Esports team logo.

NEW inspiration

The new design was intended to be an illustrated bearcat with the typical thick lines and simple elements. They wanted it to be aggressive and more sporty than electronic.

first ideations

I started out very simple to figure out what direction the team wanted to go towards. I also was attempting different angles to see what posing they preferred for the bearcat.

Directional iteation

The old design was a simple shield. The team also had a simple bearcat they occasionally utilized, although it was not the official logo. Along with the line-art bearcat they would use an “ESPN” looking typeface.
