CD DESIGN

CD #1

The goal of this project was to create a CD layout based off of a 2000’s inspired album. The genre that inspired the look was pop-punk with some grunge (90s) elements.

Photoshoot

The shoot was done at a construction site with its industrial urban look. The large objects and loud scenery of the area reflected the feelings of isolation and freedom in the shoot.

CD #2

The goal of this project was to create a CD layout based on “Waiting to Spill” by The Backseat Lovers. The album focuses on feelings of nostalgia and lost identity due to fame.

Photoshoot

I wanted the gems to represent two things. The shine of fame and also imitate braces, something awkward and uncomfortable many people experience when they’re young. The blood represents pain through experience, like a scraped knee, where you get up and keep going.
